1. Can I participate if I have pain?

Yes! Studies have shown Pilates to be effective in helping with flexibility, balance, and strengthening which are all things that can help improve your symptoms. Exercises can be modified to fit your specific needs.

3. What do I need to bring?

Nothing! Pilates can be performed with or without equipment. At WPT we provide mats for those participating in our Pilates classes.

4. What should I wear?

Wear clothes that you feel comfortable moving in. This would be loose fitting clothing, athleisure wear, or anything that you would be comfortable working out in. 

5. How much does Pilates cost?

Each class is $20. WPT also offers a "Punch card" which gives eight classes for $120.

6. Where do classes take place?

Classes take place right here at the WPT clinic! The address is 100 Wonsettler Rd, Scenery Hill, Pa 15360.

What to Expect

At WPT PIlates

  • The exercises are typically low-impact that focus on strengthening muscles while improving postural alignment and flexibility.
     

  • Pilates focuses on body control as well as stability. The main goal of this form of exercise is to improve core strength, spinal mobility with emphasis on breathing, and motor control​.
     

  • Mat exercises offer the ability to use body weight or provided equipment to improve mobility and function.
     

  • Our Pilates has been shown to improve general fitness and overall well-being.
